Run some Berrymans B-12 through the fuel system at double strength. If there's a fuel blockage or rsetriction it will clear it.
DO NOT EVER DO THIS TO A DIESEL
I couldn't find the Berrymans at the parts store, so I ran Chevron Fuel system cleaner- recommended by the store- through It, one bottle in the front tank, which was half full (87 octane-what I usually run) , and one in the rear tank with 1 gallon of 93 octane.
I've made some progress. I replaced the coil, and like the tune-up, the truck runs much better. The speedometer isn't as erratic as it was, now only +/- 5 mph now, and it resists stalling more. So it helped but did not cure the problem.
I now think the ignition control module is at fault (based on the process of elimination) and have a new one coming in the morning. There is a voluntary recall, issued March of 1995 for this module, and the symptoms match pretty well (erratic stalling) but my truck is not eligible as the recall is too old so Ford won't pay.
well, a buddy of mine came over yesterday and we changed the relays out and the problem of stalling hasnt come back so he was thinking it was a powertrain problem so we changed that relay out and it ran fine!
now im still trying to figure out why my brake lamps and blinkers dont work! i replaced the bulbs a while back but besides that the blinker indicator inside the cab doesnt work so its not the bulbs. Im guessing the brake lights and turning lamps are on the same wire but there has to be a short or ungrounded wire somewhere before the firewall because it doesnt make sence that the blinkers nor brake lights don't work and neither does the indicator inside the cluster!

Have same problem but if I turn on headlight every bulb are on
but turn signal not work. Try figure why it won't flash on turn signal.
Throwing parts at it will cost you big time.Go back to basics check vacuums with a good gauge below the throttle plate. Can you check fuel pressure! Does the engine have a miss to it? Stalling @ idle sounds like low fuel pressure.
on the flashers, i went ahead and changed the column switch and they work now! ya the brake and flashers run off that switch so now everythings good with the electrical except for that speedometer going crazy!
it still stalls though! i ran a bottle of injector cleaner through each tank with full fuel and that didnt seem to do anything! its got me pullin my hair out tryin to figure out why this little inline 6 don't wanna stay running!!
On my 83 Bronco I have to turn the key back just a little after it starts other wise my running lights and blinks don't work. Drove me crazy trying to figure that out.
I have this same propblem with my 87 300 I have replaced plugs, coil ignition module, high pressure pump, fuel regulater, fuel pump relay, and several fuel filters. My doesent shut completely off now, it just acts like it flooding itself or something.
