Replace Negative Battery Cable
Hi.
I need to replace the negative battery cable in my 2000 Explorer. Is this just a straight shot to the engine, or does it split off or add other ground wires on the way. I can't tell because it's wrapped in the harness with other cables along side the engine.
Thinking I could run a new cable along side the harness and leave the old one there.

When I had the same problem with my 87 Ranger 3 or 4 years ago, i picked up an 8 inch pig tail from Kragen for 7 or 8 bucks
Cut off the last 8 inches of the battery cable inserted it into the pig tail & tightened the set screw.
Problem solved.
Odds are the only bad part of the cable is at the battery end where acid fumes eat them up.

Yes it's at the battery end. I already put a cheap terminal end on it but thats "gettin kinda ripe"
I didn't know there was a pigtail available.
I'll check Advance Auto Parts or Pep boys here in PA.
