I finally did my return lines today and it went easier than I thought it would.
Didn't break any caps, didn't lose any o-rings, the truck started right up and nothing leaked.
Lucky break for me I guess
However, I think one of my glow plugs has bit the dust...the "wait to start" light doesn't stay on as long as it used to, and I think that fire I posted about the other day is either responsible or was a result, not sure The glow plug right there had the connector broken off and the insulation was burned off the wire. I tried to patch the wire and reconnect it with a makeshift connector, but some smoke came off the wire the first time it cycled the glow plugs after I was done and now I think it's non functioning again. I don't really know.
Smoke means a bad connection. My light started not staying on very long too, and after I pulled all the connectors off the glowplugs, I only found one bad. I didn't have one so I put it all back together and the light stayed on longer like it used to. I think my main problem was poor connections on the glowplugs. I did have one bad glowplug, but I think it has been bad for awhile. I have since ordered one and replaced it, but one being bad doesn't seem to make too much difference.
