ok guys well yesterday i had to make an emergency stop (accident in front of me on ice) in my 96 F250 4x4 auto and after i stopped i realized i had no brake pedal left....it just went straight to the floor, so i findout i blew a hole in the hard line right where it comes through the frame in the passeneger side front wheel well and connects to the rubber hose....so my question is now that i have to replace the entire hard line from the lil module thing under the driver seat over to the wheel well is this an acual piece with a part number i can buy or do i have to just get some hard lines and bend them and such myself? thanks guys...
what kind of special tools am i going to need to get the fitting back on? are they available to rent at most parts stores? and what about the like corrogated looking sections on that hard line? is it going to matter if i just use one solid piece all the way across?
ok well how do i go about finding the diameter of the tubing? is it 3/16'' or 1/4''? im guessing id just measure it but is it inside or outside diameter? also i was just thinking using one line because its prolly only spaning a gap of maybe 4feet using like 6 or 7 total feet of line after all the bends....also what about bending the tubing? its not gunna matter if i use just something round to bend the tube around to get my beds is it? i dont have to have that little bender thing right?u guys are alot of help i really appreciate it...sorry for the stupid questions i just never messed with hard line before
