I own a 1979 Ford F150 4X4 Long Box; I got the truck for free when a friend moved to Utah. When I got the truck it was stock and being in Michigan its whole life of course there is a rust problem. As soon as I got the truck I installed a 6'' Suspension lift. To get to my Question. I bought a set of 35/14.5/15 TSL Thornbirds and I would pay someone to take these tires from me. The ride is terrible. Per 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers: " Fiberglass belts under the tread and polyester body plies contribute to a really smooth comfortable ride." Is it just me or could my tires be bad. Also I want the most aggressive tires that I can get that don’t ride like a wagon with wooden wheels? Please let me know.
my 37x13 boggers ride smooth as glass once they are warmed up, but when they sit out in the cold overnight, the first mile or two in the mornin is rough, but most all bias ply tires are like that, boggers are just loud, you could run the 37's, or 16/35 boggers...
I had a set of 31's(just some cheap brand) and they were real rough. I had them balanced probably 3 times, to no avail. Finally, I took them some place and 3 of my four tires had flat spots in them. I took them back and they gave me new ones. They said they must have been sitting in the corner on the floor for a long time. IF they came from 4-wheel parts they may have been sitting in a wharehouse for a long time and have gotten out of round.
