How to upfitter question?

Again, I know! I cannot find this on here or the infamous Google. I have upfitter switches in my 05 and I know where all of the wires and fuses are. Here is my question. How do I wire in my two pair of Hella 500 drive/fog lights? I am mounting them behind the grill like DC. Do I just ground the wire and run the positive to the 1 or 2 upfitter? Will one switch run both pair of lights? Do I need to use a relay? I also bought a pair of Recon back up lights. Can I run them off of the 10 amp 3 or 4 switch?

Thanks, Ray

bump,

I assume I need to use a relay and just use the upfitter as a trigger. Anyone got a wiring diagram for that? I still need to know if I can run both pair off of one upfitter if I do it that way.

Do you want your backup lights to come on every time you put the gearshift in reverse, or only when you turn on the switch?

If you want them "full time" there is a backup light circuit for the trailer harness right there at the rear bumper.

At least this is how my 01 is set up.

It's a 30A relay behind each of the first 2 switches. Is your total load over 30A? That is the answer to one question...

I am still unsure on the reverse lights. I am thinking just with the switch but, I don't know yet. I have them sitting under the Christmas tree. lol
