Mixed size tires on 4x4
Different size tires on a 4x4 f150 2014
i need to replace two of my tires on my truck, its 4x4 and the other tires have only 10k on them. they are expected to last another 40k. can i safely install two new tires on the front of my truck since the alignment tech fed up the old ones?
Not really sure why you put this in a reply to a year old and basically unrelated thread, but if your question is, can I replace 2 tires when the other 2 will already have 10k on them, then yes. You'll be fine. People do it all the time.
Hello all,
I have a 1986 Ford F250 4x4. I have 235x85x16 tires on the front
and 255x85x16 tires on the rear. Will this cause any damage to the 4 wheel drive components of the truck (any gearing problems with mixed tires). The front 235's are almost brand new, and I would hate to just take them off, but I don't want to cause any damage to my truck. But I would love to leave the tires the way they are if it is no problem. I asked a local tire store, but they were not able to give me a positive answer. Thanks for any help.
