fuel tank
ok so after reading the tech info. i saw the post with one tank filling the other and that there is a valve you need to replace.
my questions are.
1. how do i know my rear is filling the front since the front is completely empty since the fuel pump is bad and i dropped the tanks drained and cleaned both.
2. is there anywhere to get the valve besides the dealership.

and if it is do i just call a dealership or what if so will they still do it for free if i just bought this truck, sorry i'm 16 so i don't know how this stuff works. another reason i suspect this is my city mileage is 5.5 and my highway is 16 and i don't think there should be that big of a jump

If your sender is not working as well as your pump, the problem may not be the pump. Sounds like it could be a connection issue. I would climb under the truck and check the connector for the pump and sender. Do they show power when the key is first turned on (engine off)? The sender and the pump have separate power feeds. If both aren't working, the issue might be electrical. I would check the switch also. Good luck.
