I'm having the same problem. I'll be interested to hear a solution to it as well.

Are your heater hoses on the right connections? I seem to remember that if you put them on the wrong parts of the heater core it won't work or something?

I know I personally check that and reversed them (they were on wrong from PO) no difference.

You're gonna have to open up the heater box again, there is a lot of cold air getting in there from somewhere, possibly a foreign object preventing the blend door from completely closing.

i took the cover off the heater core and there was a small gap around all four edges of the heater core so i packed them with foam and tweeked the blend door now i have more heat but still not the same as it use to be im thinking its a low quality core .

When I replaced my cooling system a few months ago, the heater hoses were completely blocked. When you say you felt the heater lines, do you mean the hoses that go to and from the heater core to the water pump? Even if they are getting hot, they can still be blocked or partially blocked. They are cheap and easy to replace.

I had a leaking heater core once and replaced it with an aftermarket , no more leak but poor heat !! . Suffered with it through a few winters till it got even worse , figured the I300 just dint make alot of heat combined with with a cloging core . Replaced it again , marginal improvement !!!! and yet another winter . Then I think I read here something about aftermarket cores not heveing good flows so I replaced it yet again with a factory core , gets good heat now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A warmer Mark
