i have never taken apart a steering column before, and the one on my '73 f-350 is starting to feel and sound very rough and crunchy sounding, like there are broken gear teeth or something. the steering gear is new, along with the coupling. should i replace the whole column with an aftermarket equivalent, or have it repaired? i will probably rewire someday.
