I managed to get 95% of the wiring figured out for the tail, brake reverse and signal light's on the '79.What a mess. It's amazing what some people will do.
I must have pulled 25' of extra, totally un-needed wire out from under that truck.
There was quite a-bit of speaker wire being used.At first I thought it ran from the cab(bush party, speaker hook up),but oh no,it was being used as ground wire and one piece for power.
I had nebulous hopes/plans to get the '59 M100 running by the end of the year, but that ain't likely unless Santa brings me a garage, engine hoist, fridge full of Jolt Cola, beer, and frozen pizza. I think I'll settle for removing one or more bolts from somewhere on the truck, and maybe squirting some fresh oil into the plug holes on the spare engine.
A more realistic achievement will be to get the vintage S & M fog lights cleaned up and mounted. I've picked up new 12V amber lamps for 'em (they came with 6V lamps). Now the housings are going to get a bath in washing soda to try the electrolytic rust removal trick. While most web pages say to use 6V or 12V, someone who knew something about electrochemistry wrote that it only needs about 2V to do the job, so I'm going to try a 3.3V wall wart (AC adapter).
Heres just a few things on my list...and some HAVE to be done.
02 Ford not running?
94 Ford running crappy?
Both 7.3 diesels.
Car trailer lights need work.
Utility trailer needs rewiring.
79 Ford needs brake and body work.
Skidsteers shooting oil everywhere?
Arctic Cat 550 wont start (battery) and needs tires changed.
So Ive got WORK to do ...............................
