Custom Intake

1995 PSD Does anyone know the diamater of cold air intakes such as the K&N type or simmilar my buddy has a hyd. pipe bender and I wanted to make my own out of some thin wall almunium pipe any input on this would be helpful.

K&N are crappy filters. Go and get yourself a 6637 from NAPA or fleetfilters.com and use that. the ID is 4" on those and you need a 45* bend if i remember correctly.

thanks for the info are any of the free flow or what ever those are called filters any good?

When its time to replace my 6637 one of these are going on...lifetime filter and no oil

AEM - 4.0" Inlet 7.5" x 10.5" Dryflow Air Filter Oval 9" Element

That's a pretty good looking filter.. I too am wondering how the flow is compared to the 6637..

Almost twice the cost of a 6637, but with a lifetime deal, that could be a winner.

Is this one of those "wash-and-wear" filters? Looks pretty decent and the size is similar to the 6637 as well.
