has anyone seen or tried the tuff country alignment brackets?
i saw them in an add for $129.00 but wonder how they would work. i have a 89 f150 with pro-comp front coil spring about 1.5 inch lift.
I am also in need of these brackets. Your talking about the I beam drop brackets right. My truck is lifted 2.5-3 inches. If anyone knows anything about these im interested as well.
i sent an email to tuff country and got this back.
Our axle pivots are a bolt on set up. The brackets are stronger than the factory mounts with a lifetime warranty on our product
i replyed asking for more info or instructions. it looks and sounds like a good deal for $129.00 and will provide camber adjustment form +2.25 to -2.25 degree. I am thinking about getting them.. but, more info would be helpful.
mine is 4wd but shouldn't matter. i got some more feedback from tuff country >>
Our kit comes with new mounting hardware. You will reuse the axle pivot bushings. If they are worn now would be a good time to replace them. The job normally takes around 2.5 hours.
they are going to send me a copy of the installation instruction to look at. they seem to be very helpful and the kit seems like it will solve the camber problem.
Have these on my 94 F-150 4x4 - they've been on my truck for two plus years and I've had no problems with them. One nice thing is that they have a bolt with an eccentric washer that allows you to adjust the camber in addition to replacing the factory bushings.
I talked to Superlift and they said there is no difference between the 2WD and 4WD. Is this true?? Tuff Country told me that there was a difference and that these brackets wouldn't work on my truck. I was thinking that maybe the guy I talked to thought I was refering to a solid front axle 4x4. In which case that would be true. Any thoughts on this subject.
