Hey guys,
2000 Navi with the overhead console digital MPG gauge that tells the average MPG. I am having an issue with mine now. It is not calculating the average anywhere close to what I am actually getting. I reset it by pressing both buttons and it went to zero, but even after several miles, it still says my average is really low.
It used to work fine, i could reset it, and while i was easy on the gas, the average could bounce up to say 24 mpg, then would drop with the more gas i gave it. it would then average out after about 50 miles or so to the normal 14-15mpg or so in town
NOW: when i reset it, and while driving very easy or idling at a red light, the average will barely fluctuate to 6 mpg. it is not fluctuating like it used to.
my MPG is fine, i calculated and i get what i have always got, around 14-15 mpg in town and 17 on highway. just the digital one in the console is acting up.
i did pull the negative off the battery to try and reset it, but no luck. please help
i am sure that it is not on metric. i am not sure what you mean by real time or average? i do not have the option to make it real time that i know of. i didn't know if there was another way to reset these things or something? thanks
