Unhappy please please help! revving problems!

ok. i have a 1989 ford f-150 with a 302. i just put a different motor in it, and here is my problem. sometimes when i start it it will run good, and rev to at leat 5,000 rpm's, then i shut it off and it will rev real slow to 3'500 rpm's maybe if i'm lucky. i have changed fuel pump, fuel filter, coil, distributor, ecm, tps. my comprssion is 125 to 145psi. i have been at this for a month now and i don't have no clue what else to do. I really really need some help here. please any suggestions i will try!

Have you pulled codes? It's very simple and will tell you if the computer is having a problem with a sensor or not.

Make sure the timing is active and not acting like the spout is disconnected?

Have you been able to check fuel pressure?
