I've never heard of anyone cutting the beams. I've heard of people heating them and stretching out the ends to get some drop, like they do on old solid axle cars. I've heard of people cutting springs and then having the beams bent to correct the negative camber created from it. The main way is with lowering I-beams from chassistech(AIM) or DJM, but they are a little pricey (between $500 and $600) depending on which brand you go with. There are a bunch of threads on here about lowering right now. Just look around a little bit and use the search function. Good luck!
