leveling kit and lift kit?

If I were to pair a 3" front leveling kit with a 3" suspension or body lift would I be able to run 35s? Tylus I know you said that 2wds can run 34s in the back stock so I'm hoping you'll come through with some info on this one.

if you get any single piece of info off this site. Please take this 1 too heart
DO NOT RUN A BODY LIFT on a 04-08 F-150

they are dangerous, a headache, and not worth the trouble.

I know you have your heart set on those 35" tires. We can get you there, but you need to do it properly.
And unfortunately, Properly = Expensive = Suspension Lift

There are tricks to get to your goal...which I put below

Here is a parts list you will need to run 35" tires...I don't suggest it, but it will work. By doing this, your upper/lower control arms will have some pretty good angles on them. This may cause the ball joints to wear out sooner than designed.

Front End:Rear End:
Auto_Springs 1 1/2" Rear Block for 2wd
or
OEM 2" 4x4 Rear Block (sorry, no link. You'll have to find one for sale somewhere)

You will need all three of those items. The front will get lifted 3.5 to 4" and will be the same height as my truck is right now. The rear block will put you within 1/2" the height of a stock 4x4.

Then a 35" tire will fit...but you will most likely need new rims to keep from rubbing. By doing this, you will place alot of stress and angles on your front end.

I personally would just do the 2" front leveling kit and run a nice 33" mud terrain. It will fill your wheel well rather nicely, and have minimal affect on the front end components.

btw, what is your budget? You can buy a Pro-Comp 6" suspension lift for $1,200 right now

And the price of the lift is not whats really bad its the $500 installation fee that kills me... I think I could get the lift but then wouldn't be able to get the tires so therein lies the problem...

the 3" suspension kit is essentially just an AAL/block out back with either a leveling puck or new shocks up front

so no

install the lift kit, and buy tires in 6-8 months when you have the funds. it's nice to do it all at once, but you gotta do what the pocketbook can afford
