Which heads to use?

Building two 302's for early model broncos. bothe old mustang engines (302's) The heads are e7te's and e6se's. The e7te valves are noticibly bigger. I am bidding on some gt40 heads on ebay. Any suggestions? I would rather try to use the heads I have but want to go with the best case.. Thanks

Fully ported the E6 and E7 heads are equally capable, and the E6's will take more ignition advance due to the swirl inducing combustion chamber shape, so they have the potential to make more TQ. Unported it's no contest because the E6's have a massive air injuction hump that blocks the roof of the exhaust port. Untouched GT40's flow a bit better than either of the other 2. If you want the whole powerband below 5000rpm the stock heads are a good choice on a 302 IMO, if you want more peak HP go for ported GT40s.
