Is there a trick to getting the headlight surround off? I'm talking about the plastic piece that goes around the front of the headlights. The truck is a 94 F150. I can't figure out for the life of me how to get it off. Had an accident and have to replace the entire headlight, corner light, and blinker light. The whole entire lamp has to be replaced. I have a used replacement. Can anyone out there give me tips to make it easier?
I know how to do it and I actually have the yellow corner light almost brand new only used for 3-4 months if you would like it. There are two screws at the top of the chrome plastic piece that need to be removed. Then on the back of the corner lense, there are two nuts that need to be loosened. If you take the grill off, you can see better. There are two squares cut out of the body to allow you to sneak a socket in there, its hard, you might have to take the battery out or lossen the washer fluid tank and move it aside. It is a 10mm nut on there heh. I just put some clear corner lenses on there last week. Heres a tip, its hard to get that nut back on without dropping it, so take a dab of greese and smear it on the nut in the socket to keep it from sliding out till you have it threaded. Hope that helps, email me at MustangGT221(No Email Addresses In Posts!) if you are interested in buying my turn signal lenses.
