over head console
I have a 2001 excursion v10 and the overhead console is reading 99 mile to the gallon we all know that's bullchit does anyone know what the problem might be.Any help would be much appreciated!!!!!!!

If the standard resetting does work, I'd try disconnecting the Neg batt connection, turn on the headlights and leave it for 30 min or so. The idea behind turning on the headlight is to drain every ounce of electricity out of the system.
Later, turn off the headlights, then reconnect the batt.
Honestly, I doubt this will fix the problem - but it will completely reset the PCM, it costs $0 to try it and it may just work.
