quick egr valve question
on my truck its a 90 f150 302 5spd when its hot at norm operating temp i rev up the engine to around 2000 rpm and hold it my egr valve opens quick then closes just as i rev it up should it be doing this or should it stay open when at that engine speed

It sounds normal to me but I can't say for sure. The egr valve responds almost entirely to throttle position and manifold vacuum. I suspect it is opening when you first open the throttle but closes again because it is not open enough.
