Block heater and Mice

Damn Mice!!!!!In all the years I've had diesels parked in my garage,I've never run into this problem.Went to check the oil today...Popped the hood and there is a big ol' mouse nest right on top of the engine.I'm thinking because the truck is plugged in at night these buggers are getting a warm bed to sleep in.

If any of you guy's have had this happen...How in the heck do you keep them away from the truck????Traps, shotgun,A black lab???I've got it all!!!HELP!!!

Fortunately I never had this problem before, but a friend of mine had to reach in to his pocket deep, because the mice chew his wire harness on his Porsche Carrera. You can imagine the bill.
If the traps or poison doesn't help, I would call a mice killer specialist to get some professional help, before something worse happens...

I have had this problem on an old truck i had stored and we ended up putting baited traps in the garage and placing mothballs wrapped in cheescloth under the hood - just put the bags where they wont fall into anything - liked tucked in beside the battery etc - it worked for me - just imagine the damage if they start chewing wires and vacuum lines - they have got to go.

Cayenne, chipotle or habanero pepper powder, sprinkle it every where under the hood and bait a couple of traps in the garage.

Had the same problem. A mouse or two got into my garage and chewed up a bunch of stuff.

I still cannot find where the little @#$@#% chewed my vacuum line, if I switch to 4x4 my defrost comes on.

I put some poison around and found him dead a few days later.

I just wiped out 4 of those little buggers. Found turds on the plastic flap on top of the rad and then more on my dashboard! Set the trap on the drivers floor and picked them off one at a time. The trap is still loaded on the floor but haven't had any recent customers. How the hell can they climb up in my truck? Dang running boards are like 3 feet off the ground! Oh, also- and thats without having it plugged in
