Shift Kits
I have a 97 F150 4x4 with the 4.6 litre V8. I pull a 25 foot travel trailor and live in Washington State where there are several passes and hilly areas. I normally dont have a problem with power, but would like to stiffen up the shifts when pulling. I've heard that B & M has a kit, and Banks has something called a Trans Pak kit, which is better or easier to install? Do either void warranties?

They've got a switch that changes the shift timing and I believe the firmness.
Kind of works like the one on new GM trucks except you get 2 tow settings.

Shift Kits
Get a chip! It will improve your gas use and power. Also you can remove it before you go into the shop. A B&M shift kit is nice but a chip is better. Anytime you modify the stock truck Ford will frown upon it. How Friendly is your dealer?
