Hey guys/gals. As most know, changed my injectors this last weekend. I sent my chip back to DP to get it re-burned for the injectors. Everything went well on the install. The first start up was typical to new injectors, smoke and rough. After driving around 150 miles so far, I still have a rough idle while driving and then coming to a stop. I can be going 60 mph then let off the pedal, it will slow down smooth until it shifts into 1st gear, then it starts idling very rough. The second I touch the pedal, it runs smooth. After driving around then park it in my shop, it will idle rough for a while then smooth out some. It does this in all setting. I can hold the rpms to 1000 rpm with the pedal and it is smooth as silk. When I put the chip in hi-idle 1200 rpm, it runs rough.
What do you guys think? Before I start calling around to figure this out. Other then that, this thing runs so good.
I thought the single shots idled louder and rougher than the split shots. Others will know for sure. I believe Mike (Tenn) cured his issue with some live tuning.

I agree with the rough idle Chris. It's only when I am driving then slow down that it is worst. Sounds like a big cam in there. lol. I want to see what you guys think before I call Jody, to see about getting live tuning.
Wish I could have stayed longer. After the air had bled out and everything was back to "normal", we could could have checked live data and did some data logging, with my AE, to see if we could pin point the cause of this while it was occurring. Rougher idle sounds normal. It's the idle on hi idle setting and when coming back down from a higher speed that doesn't seem right.
Has anyone else experienced this with an injector change to single shots? That's what we need to know.
Just so that I am clear, the HPX mod is for the Oil cross over, Would a CC help out in this.. Especially since you are dumping more fuel..
That I don't know Pat.

Yes, this is something I need to get worked out. I hope it's nothing big.

I hope someone that had this problem will chime in with the cure. When I drove it this morning, I am thinking maybe TC, because it seems when it unlocks, thats when the romping starts.

I think the TC unlock has more to do with the change in rpm and load that is affecting the idle as the PCM is making adjustments for it.
Does sound like a good excuse for the trans upgrade. "Hey, Phyllis. I need to go to Arkansas." Can I go too? We''ll swing by Georgia afterwards and see Jody and Diane.

I agree with Roland you need to go to Ar then GA after a couple of stops on TN . Also see if Brian can through you some big oil in there while you are getting the tranny done .

That may be coming sooner then I think. . I will talk to Jody hopefully today, I may have to make that trip soon.
Take the long way around come up 40 then go down 75 . How is your turbo liking the new sticks did it get rid of the lag?
I been running in modified stock and don't feel any lag. The couple times I got down on it, I didn't feel any lag. I will do more testing after I get this problem solved.
