So when it got super cold my passenger side power lock started acting funny. The solenoid cannot unlock the door in the cold.
After playing with it I noticed once the key is manually inserted into the hole the lock engagement/ disengagement is very rickety- jerky. WD-40 did not fix the problem, and I noticed the actual plastic lock indicator is sinking further into the door than usual.
The lock pin (manual), the door handle, the outer door handle and the outer lock cylinder work on independent rods or cables. Hopefully the sticky lock and the pin position are separate issues. However, make sure the pin moves freely, I had a little dynamat stick the rod for the pin and it caused the motor not to lock/unlock.
