torsion bars

I have a ford 150 and want to raise the front end about one inch. can I do this by tightening the torsion bars, and will an alignment be enough without causing awkward tire wear. Has anyone done this that knows the step by step process.

You didn't state what year you have and I may be missing something here but I've never heard of a Ford with torsion bars.Torsion bars are on Chrysler products.:-staun

There are suspension lifts and body lifts for sale that are 1" high. Look into those.

In 1997 Ford went to a torsion bar front suspension. You should be fine only raising it an inch. Just have it realigned. The only bad thing is you lose a little articulation and it rides a little rougher.
