Hello Gentlemen
I had to get a dealers technician visiting my garage today, as he had to program my computer for new keys. I had lost the only key : (
At the same visit he pulled out following codes:
PO 0472
PO 0672
PO 0674
PO 0676
PO 0678
He made a quess, that the last ones are related to the transmission ?
I have Banks transcommand added. Other vise truck is standard 7,3 diesel autom.
As I drove out of the garage after the "check engine light" had been turned of by technician, the light came back on, so some of those codes is still valid, existing problem ? Right ?
Is there a page where I can look for those codes please ?
Nope, my chart says that the P067X codes are related to the glow plug circuits (Cylinders 2, 4, 6, and 8 respectively) and the P0472 is an exhaust pressure sensor.
Was the CEL on prior to the tech getting your key code?
Yes the light was on before he programmed the car for the new keys. The light came off, when he had checked the codes and came back on, when I drove the truck out.
Exhaust back pressure sensor I had unhooked for testing the noise I had in engine a while ago, then it brouht the light on. And off, when I hooked it on again.
( The noise was broken waterpump )
So if my codes are showing glow plug circuits, what should I do ? I am still not familiar with the diesel engines...
I'm not that familiar with the PSD either, so I would go over to the 7.3 PSD forum on this site and post the same question there. Bet you get a few replies, as these guys are all very knowledgeable here.
thanks, I searched this site by the error codes, and found several explanations and tips, how to go forward.
No easy solution though - and I do not like electric work.
