exhaust smell
I have a exhaust smell that comes from the heat or a/c vents when on and goes away when you turn on recirc.took it to ford twice first time they said cant find problem. took it back second time for same problem and they said the only exhaust leak was from cat back system. I had that small leak fixed even though it was leaking just in front of muffler which is by the back door. The shop that fixed that leak said it had a bad leak where the cross over pipes meet just under the back part of the engine. thats why it smells in the engine compartment.ant comes through the heater box. my ? is where does the heater box get it outside air from? I dont want to take it back to that dealership again, I had some bad words with them the last time they said it was only leaking from catback. lucky for them that I only buy Fords. or I would switch next time. Like they care!
