I am needing to get some codes and a buzz test run on my 7.3L I was wondering if any ETN members could run it for me before I can check my local diesel garage and pay out some money.

 

If you can find someone with a SCT tuner they can run the codes for you. I have repaired my car with the one I have for my old F150. Its just not new enough to scan my 04 completely. If it was I'd have it on it instead of the Hypertech that was on it when I bought it.

 

Actually the best investment to have around over the SCT(don't know about hypertech as I've never had one) is the dashdaq. I have had 2 codes that the SCT never was able to show and they show up on the dashdaq and it is also able to get into the tranny codes as well, which SCT can't get into. You also get a nice handy set of gauges as well and they seem to be pretty accurate along with what I'm getting on my analog gauges so far anyway.

 

I can get my codes ran I was need a buzz test done, CCT, test and a host of other tests that I don't believe these regular tuners can handle.

 

The dashdaq can datalog, but unless you know how to extract the info between the lines, it won't be able to specifically help you out with what you need.
