What Type of Exhaust System should I go with?

Can you tell me specifically which muffler you've got?? Looking at their website I'm thinking about going with the 16616; 18" muffler w/ in front of rear wheel exit.

You should go with ROUSH. You can't can't go wrong with the off-road versions of the ROUSH cat back exhaust. I personally like the looks of the Dual side exit kit. If you decide to go with a ROUSH kit contact Mike Roth at Woodhouse Ford mroth@woodhouse.com
You will be very pleased with the sound of the ROUSH exhaust. I had a Bassani SISO kit before I decided to order the ROUSH kit. Although Bassani makes a awesome product, the sound wasn't quite what I expected. Which reminds me, is there anyone in Southern Cali who would be interested in a used Bassani SISO catback system? I have the stainless version and it was on my truck for less than 6,000 miles, includes brand new 4" tip.

This is the closest I could find to the sound my F-150 makes. The only difference is the side exit in front of the rear passenger wheel. The cold starts sound good but it really sounds great when driving and it is under load. the revs when sitting still pale in comparison when you take off from a stop and when you nail it on the roll. I really love it. To me it is the best sounding F-150 I have heard, and not just because it is mine at all.

Borla IMO. Sounds MUCH better than my friend's Magnaflow on his F150 and it's almost as loud.
It won't win you any volume contests but it sounds damn good and apparently it's considered "loud" by a few girls that can hear it from outside the cab when I pull away. I wouldn't necessarily say that though lol.

Checked out three muffler places today, all three said they could order me the Magnafolw, but two recommended Flowmasters. I got the feeling that they didn’t think there was any difference between the two. In fact one place told me that Flowmaster builds a generic version of their muffler for other companies. Midas has a deal going right now for Flow master dual out system for $299, for the 40 series, and $349 for the 50 series. I’m sure that Roush, Borland, Bansini… are probably much better mufflers, but how much better? I’ve gotten a lot of recommends for Magnaflow, but is this the old Ford / Chevy debate only between Mag / Flow?? I don’t want an overly loud system, but don’t want to drive away feeling like I didn’t get enough bang for my bucks. Flowmaster has an ‘American Thunder Muscle Truck, dual out same side system’ that looks like what I’m wanting, and it looks like I can get it, plus installation for $300.
