Guys,
I will be installing a 4.5" Icon lift on my 2004 F250 4x4 w/5.4 in a week. Where can I find out the torque specs for the factory bolts? I will be installing Icon's dual stabilizer kit, Do I need new U-bolts for the front?
Thanks for the info

For the most part you will be using new hardware I hope. Bolt specs don't change a whole lot. If don't find exactly what you need, going by shaft dia (not head dimensions) are roughly 3/8"=35ft lbs, 1/2"=65ft lbs, 3/4"= 100ft lbs. I wouldn't be surprised if the lift instructions gave you specific torques per bolt you touch.
More than likely you will be using new hardware provided by Icon along with torque specs that they provide. Welcome to the lifted club, hopefully you wont want to go higher once you get your lift on, like I did.
thanks for the help guys. I am not sure if u-bolts are included for the front, but if not i will pick up a new set. I would love to go to 6" but, I need to be able to use the truck. So, the 4.5" kit w/ 35" tires should fit the bill nicely. Can not wait to start exploring the desert more.
You won't need u-bolts with the 4.5" kit because it just uses longer spring hangers and shackles. You won't even need to loosen your front u-bolts. The kit should come with longer rear u-bolts to go with the larger blocks in the back. Their instructions have all the torque specs you'll need. I went with their 4" front spring kit and it rides much better than stock, something to consider.
cartmanea,
I have the dual stabilzer kit that I have to install. I have to loosen the ubolts so, I am going to pick up a new set of stock front ubolts to be safe. I did not get the front springs because I have the 5.4 and did not want a rough ride from the diesel.
thanks for the help Desert 4x4
