Smile F-150 Backup Sensor problem

I have a beautiful '04 150 Super Crew.. Recently, the backup warning system has been giving me problems. When I shift into reverse, the "OFF" light illuminates and the system does not function. This began as an intermittent problem but now is pretty much consistent. Any emails / suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Pat

I saw this as a blessing when it happened to me. The gravel beat one sensor towards the edge of the bumper all to crap, the wires frayed off and now the off sign is illuminated. Best thing that ever happened....

Go down to Radio Shack and buy the little 2-can blister package of DeOxIt/PreservIt for about $15.00. Disconnect each sensor from their connector, spray with DeOxIt and allow it to dry. Then spray with PreServIt. Make sure you tap out any excess. Plug the sensors back in to their respective connectors. I recently did this and it resolved the issue for me. DeOxIt/PreServIt is worth its weight in gold! Good stuff...
