Engine Speed/Tilting Body

I bought my first full size truck, a 2000 150XLT with a v6 with a stick shift in November 1999. When shifting the engine speed does not drop when the clutch is engaged; at times it speeds up. Is this due to the cruise control on a stick shift? Also, I find that the left side of the truck drops from 1.5-3.5 inches lower than the right side, depending on whether there is gas in the tank. Is this something I should consider normal?

Engine Speed/Tilting Body

Did you see the recall notices re: cold climate freezing of throttle linkage? Also owners manual states that if battery power is interupted, computer need to reset idle speed, so start truck, and let idle for 30 seconds. I have a 97 and the owners manual states idle control by computer must be reestablished after power loss. Hope this helps.
