I know he is currently on his knees begging for Fed bailout money buy I hope he didn't overlook today's dire economic news:
November: Most jobs lost in 34 years
Payrolls shrink by 533,000, bringing 11-month decline to 1.9 million. Unemployment soars to 6.7%.
In other words, HIGHER incentives are a must if he wants to sell the new 09' F-150's. Don't mean to beat this issue to death but America is in a most pathetic position right now. Crooks abound in the financial world and credit overindulgence on the part of American consumers led to all of this malaise. But future gas prices are at an amazing low of $43.67 this morning.

Well i will tell you something. Ford dont need any more bad press with all this bailout and my wife has now told them that if my truck dont turn up today then CNN and local news stations will be hearing about our problems with the truck and the delays. My wife is def not someone Ford wants to get on the wrong side off.
Lol man man she's one of them people you just don't start a argument with because you will lose lol. I know better and i have warned the rep and the dealer not to **** her off.
CNN and the local news are going to laugh if they don't hang up first. Ford is producing 2009 trucks right now, and because one guy is pissed off due to the Platinum model delay isn't going to attract any attention since its already been in the news. Not trying to rain on your parade, but I seriously doubt you're going to attract attention.

It's nothing to do with me. What they dont want is bad press that they are still wasteing money and costing the tax payer. My truck is now 6 months late and i have lost 10's of thousands of dollars thanks to Them. They have been asking for more and more money and just to add more cost to the tax payer my truck is on a trip around the US on a site seeing tour and Ford cant tell me again when it will turn up. It has been sent to CA and now it's on a unknown trip somwhere else. Ford have lied to me no end about the deal with the truck and today my dealer let me in on the truth that my truck is infact not where it's ment to be. Now for a company thats ment to be cutting cost they dont need any type of bad press.
Hey and we all know the press. CNN will play anything to make Ford look bad.
Your constant complaining about your truck delay is only a personal drama, its not news because the automotive press already knows about production delays.
I know a former anchor for CNN (she's a partner in a business with me now) and I can tell you based on a lot of conversations this sort of thing isn't going to interest CNN especially with the resource shortage they have now. One disgruntled customer doesn't get national press. Go ahead, knock yourself out and call people, I venture they'll get the same impression I do and you won't get very far.

Well we can all think like you and not do anything about it because you "think" you know what they will do. If you dont try you dont get. I coould just sit back and do nothing and let Ford take me for a ride like every other tax payer is being taken for at the moment. They want money but they aint doing nothing to help me get my truck. They are infact costing the tax payer Thousands of $ with the problems they have caused with my truck. It's you and the tax payer who is going to be paying for Ford's **** up's and some people just seem to accept that.
With all of the news about the current economic state of the US automakers, are you not worried that Ford will cease to be in business to back the warranty on a new vehicle purchase?
Assuming a more positive outcome, that the US auto industry survives, won't there be a glut of unsold new vehicles in the spring or summer of 2009 because of the dismal sales now?
Personally, I am having trouble pulling the trigger on a large new debt now. However, the emotional side of me wants to jump on a deal right now. I guess that I should get through Christmas now, and give it serious thought after New Year.

I'm not concerned about the Big 3 not backing their warranties since they'd most likely go Chapter 11 and still operate. There is still talk of a GM-Chrysler merger where I presume GM would be required to cover Chrysler warranty time on existing vehicles.
There won't be a glut of '09 models because they are not producing vehicles due to lack of demand. They'll produce some excess capacity but I don't expect there to be more vehicles sitting than usual.
I would like to pull the trigger as well but am hesitant right now. My employer has let go of the 20% of the workforce since September and I don't want to use up my available cash on a truck when I may need it to makes ends meet. That said, the emotional side still has the desire.
Hang in there brother, you will know what is best for you when the time comes.

Just spoke to the rep for this area about the delay again and he has said that my truc has been sent back to the factory for quality control for another issue. Im pissed even more and so is the dealer. But in the chat i had with the dealer he said that all they are making at the moment is dealer and customer orders for the f150's so dont expect there to be loads sitting around.

Dude, back in 1985 I ordered a 1985 Mustang GT just the way I wanted it. None of the dealers stocked the 5 speed which was a carburated model. They were all pedling the auto tranny which had EFI. Anyway, I waited 15 weeks for my car to arrive. When it arrived, they jacked me on my trade knowing that either I'd pay extra or they could easily sell to to another person. I refused the car and went and bought my new Ford truck from another dealer. A beautiful red and white 1984 F-150 stepside that no one else wanted. The point is:
CANCEL THE DAMNED THING ALREADY. The dealer is a POS, Ford is having issues getting the Platinums out and your going to pay out the nose for a truck that you could get much cheaper later this year. Let it go, it's not worth getting all tight chested over. it's a truck, a machine, a money pit. There isn't a person on this planet that wants a new one more than me, but I think it'll be worth waiting for. They build em everyday.
