Did you guys...those that are collectors...ever notice you can never find Hot Wheels F100 panels at the store.?? Almost everytime I go grocery shopping with the bride I sneak off to the old peoples toys. Of all the times I think I've found about 4 or 5. All the cool ones are adult collectibles that you have to send away for but if all those buying the regular HWpanels actually owned one there would be a ton of F100 panels in the world. So us just want one to go along with our full size ones kind of people have to get to know the "Hot Wheel Mafia" the ones who get to know the stock boys so they can be the first in and get all the good vehicle miniatures! It's kind of like a toy drug dealer......Psst...you got the latest HWF100 panel? Yea it'll cost ya......yea right .......I've got a real one and you don't!
i gave up seriously collecting the lil' ones , and not only the fords of our choosing , but all due to the buy 'em all up and gouge you mentality of some who don't have jobs and can get to the local stores all over before you did . got about 4-4500 of 'em in crates in the attic , probably about 10 of the panel and a couple of the old ones , pickups that had the dirt bikes in the back , one orange and i think the other is green ,a few of the old redlines with the pop off tires including all 3 versions of the firebird convertible ,and a few of the matchbox effies too .... i too will still pick up a lil' one of our's if i happen upon one and scale ones too if they are a 53 or i'm interested in it .............. geezuz now i'm beggining to see where some of my money is / was going .................... i need a new hobby but making kids got expensive too so ..........................
I look at the model kits and have a few effies -but my bro-in law loves those hot-wheels and has a ton of em.....he is Italian and lives in mafia land---maybe he is the guy that has the HOT WHEELS CONNECTION.....haha!!! Bill
I was in Walmart one day and this guy goes by the Hot Wheels display and takes everyone and dumps them into his cart, said he make a fortune on Ebay. I have a few of the 56 panels and pickups and a few metal diecasts of the 56 pickup, but that's enough for me.
