We're all doing well, my daughter got married, work is good . They took the internet away from us so(at work), I can't chat at work, no work today so it's O.k. This weekend I should finish up the router so, I can use my computer at home again. My kids keep it pretty busy with my space and their games, so I don't get to touch it too much. Living out of town makes it hard for them, the computer is their only link to their friends. Other than that just getting ready for X-mas. I did shoot a 6X6 elk a couple of weeks ago, north of Flagstaff. Just starting on archery deer.

Yes there is, he will be meeting with a AirForce recruiter next week, and i told him that if that does not pan out..... he could talk with other branches of the military. Ya know, I love him and will do all i can for him, But there comes a time in life when you have to stand on your own 2 feet! and his time is here!

Bigunred, I agree with you 100%. I've tried that a few times, He will improve for a while, I'll give in....and then back to square 1. It's been a Vicious cycle for a few months now.

I'm sure he will figure it out.

Helps to just belive in him!

Kudos on the enlistment idea Ive seen that straighten out many young people. And its always good on a resume, and gets you bumped to the head of the line for a lotta jobs and bennifits. I hear ya on the give in, my three kids have figured that out about me too good thing the wifes got some back bone.

I went through similar stuff a couple of years ago with my X's son. Sleep all day, party all night. Eat me out of house and home . . .

When he turned 18 I gave him the rental agreement with some pretty stiff stipulations. He was gone the next day. Played homeless several times but no way would I let him back in except for a visit, without the 3 garbage bags of laundry.

He's done ok for himself but still thinks that couch surfing is the way to save money. I guess, but it makes for strained relations with friends. I guess he wants to go live with mom now to try something else. She doesn't have the space and is living in someone else house as it is. It takes the tough love to get them on a track and even more tough love to keep 'em there. Certainly less expense and stress in the house but it still feels a bit funny.

I'm another one who worked since 14 and out at 18 so I can support the boot if it becomes necessary.

Good luck, hopefully the service can get that boy some discipline and on the right track.

Rich

My height to weight ratio is off also, I am too short for my weight. haha. That is supposed to be a a joke to lighten the mood.

So other than that, did he like what the A.F. had to say? If he did then tell him to hit the treadmill.

Let us know what the other branches say!
