I wouldn't suggest driving it like it is. Your rear springs aren't anything to mess around with. If that main leaf breaks, your axle is no longer attached to your truck. This could lead to a roll over or worse. Either drop in those heavier springs, check a junkyard for a replacement 1/2 ton spring cheap, or stop driving it.

I wouldn't drive it until you get the heavier springs in and also remember when installing the F250 springs you will need to replace the hangers also if you are putting them on a F150 the springs on a F150 are 3" wide and the F250 are 3 1/2 " wide

rear leaf spring crack

the other weekend when we were goin wheelin my friend broke a leaf spring in half (it was a chevy no wonder). he was about to try to drive it at least to a gas station until a guy told us about the thing about all the springs could break and then the axle will fall etc. etc. well that same guy happened to have some brand new leaf springs for that same truck sittin at his house, he sold them to my friend for $25. it took us from about 4 30 to 12 to put the new spring on (he has a 1ton rear end that didnt really help much either). we actually didnt have to do any banjo work to get it on, we did it how it exactly was supposed to be done except to grease the shackles.
