i had it towed 5 miles to a local shop here in e. mass, AAA covered the first 3 miles and it was 2 bucks every mile after-so it cost me $6. and i dont even have a AAA acct. i just used my buddies info, and they never asked to see a card. i cant believe i lost a full tank a few miles from home! with that kind of leak does anyone know what it could be. we supposed to get a plowable storm here on sunday and i have to work the next couple of days so i wouldn't have had time to look at it-and i have no idea what i'm doing anyway(oh i plow w/ the truck so i ned it back by sat!)
thats not the whole story so my wife picked me up from the broken down 1997PSD to bring me home to jump in my 2002 PSD to meet the tow truck driver-she wouldn't start NOT MY DAY-SO I PICKED UP 2 NEW BATTS. THIS MORNING- SHES UP AND RUNNING!
Well, if it was miss installed and rubbing on something... *shrugs*
I don't really know.
You probably just have a bad fuel line. That seems to be a pretty common thing.
But your loosing fuel so fast, that's why neal said fuel bowl. makes me think the same thing.
Sounds like it probably isn't the bowl. Guess I lost that bet.
Now you need to get fuel back in the bowl and tank. crank it up and start fishing. It will most likely be in the valley. Get a mirror and a flashlight. I bet you will be able to see it well, that is alot of fuel. If you want get pics of the part that is leaking and we will help.
