Block heater timmer
We have two if these Intermatic timers in our garage. Each one feeds a single outlet mounted outside. One's for my truck and the other is for my dad. They're both set to come on about 3 hours before we normally leave for work. We also made up two 14 gauge extension cords that hang from the box and are just long enough to reach the trucks.
EDIT: Oh, and the outlets are also GFCI receptacles for two reasons. One is because they're required outside and the second is the outlets will trip if the cord gets water in it or the end is going and shorts out from too much bending (like mine did). I'd much rather have a cold engine then a burnt one.

Dan, thats correct. Green Feet was a carry over from the Air Force Jolly Green H-3 into the HH-60 Pavehawk. I post 4 toes because I retired out of the 41st RQS. Good observation!!

I have an Intermatic H.D. Outdoor timer that I use on my 1 1/2 h.p. pool pump in the summer time. That is what I have my truck plugged into. If memory serves me correctly it was about $40.00 and it can more than handle the block heater.
