Need a water neck

My old water neck cracked on me today i was replacing the thermostat and when i tightened down the bolts the side of the water neck cracked. The thing was old and looked like it was corroding away i had to tighten it real tight because water was leaking from the bolt holes. Anyways I looked on the Kragen website and they said the soonest they could get a water neck to me would be December 17! so i tried summit and they want $99.95 for a water neck. Anyone know where i can pick one up for a decent price and i wont have to wait 2 weeks to get?

For a ??? cid engine?

It sounds more like the buy out is having more issues than expected. Kragen is now under the O'Reilys umbrella so to speak. I know at my store I carry almost every size for Ford's. I'm at one of the larger Kragen's in San Diego. The other place to look is Napa. More than likely it will be in stock.

And a little known secret to keep coolant inside the engine cooling passages and not running through the threads of the bolts is to use aviantion gasket maker or indian head. It looks like mud and is sticky. The stuff doesn't harden but it seals the threads really good. I use the stuff on any bolt not needing a thread locker or anti-sieze. Plus the stuff never hardens, it just gets thicker as it ages. Unlike my hair...

Check out this Ebay item number 190270236418, it is the same original part number that the Number Dummy gave you. It ends in less than two days, ond $10 bid so far and $10 shipping for a NOS Ford piece! Just the old Ford box is cool to have laying around the shop!

Mark wasn't that part of the Advance Auto, Western Auto/Parts America, Kragen, O'Reilys deal a few years back?

Trying to keep in pace with Autozone.

O'Reilly's just bought out Checker several months. Checker also owned Kragen & Shucks.

My BIL was the VP & CCA of Checker.

They are now merged together but originally the idea was to buy them out. In CA the supply chain hasn't been really established. If anything go to Kragen.com amd you'll see the both names up there.
