Make one. It does not have to look the same. Just as long as it is as strong or stronger then the OEM. And that it fits the same.

Or start searching the junk yards.

I don't know of any interchangeability that would work from other trucks myself.

We have several Truck junk Yards around here. I need to find a cross member myself. I'll ask about the hanger for you. Maybe luck will be in our favor today.

Mikes Truck Salvage may have it. It could be the same part as used on a HD F250 for that year, I know mine are...

That's CACA del TORO!

What idiot at a dealer told you that? Prolly didn't want to bother and just shined you on (so what else is new?).

The two Ford parts warehouses in TX (Houston, Ft. Worth) are out of stock, but there are 218 available at other parts warehouses.

If there is a PDC status (Parts Depot Centers-warehouses) on parts, they are still available!

AND...dozens of Ford dealers across the US have the hanger in stock.

TX examples:

Red Simon Ford in San Marcos TX has TWO.

Texas Motors in Ft. Worth has ONE.

Other sources:

Parts International in Farmers Branch TX has THREE: 888-727-0418

Bob Allen Ford in Overland Park KS has THREE: 800-676-0675

Buy it from an FTE sponsor and save a few bucks:

EOTZ5775A = MSRP: $67.39 / FTEpartsguy.com price: $51.76
----------------------------------------------------------
The above info was taken DIRECT from the in house Ford Dealer Parts Locator System, the same system that idiot at the dealer has access to.

Threads like this really p!ss me off. Lazy good for nothing SOB's that don't give a rats azz, and just shine on customers.

It's no wonder Ford is in trouble, many of these clucks are next to worthless, and aren't partsguys at all, they are computer certified techs.

Today, all that's needed is a VIN, type it into the system, all the part numbers come up.

But that doesn't work with older vehicles like yours, and many of these clucks don't know the basic part numbers, so could care less.

My USUAL rant concluded...till the next time I read this crap!

Yep, I got a few 3.5" wide hangers for the 3" wide springs in stock and plenty of 3" wide hangers for the 2.5" wide springs too. Just give me a shout if you don't go with the new ones. Mike

My local Ford dealer keeps the 4wd ones in stock. Yours may be a oddball if you have a chassis/cab truck, but sounds like they should be able to get it for you.

Since it has a dump body, it originally was assembled as a Cab 'n Chassis.

I verified that the p/n was correct before I typed that rant, cuz you never know.

Glad to help, and the next time you need something, either type a new thread, P/M or email me before visiting that dealer that employees IDIOTS!

I have all the parts catalogs (1928/2002), know how to use them and I have access to two online websites where I can search for parts, available or not.

One site is PartsVoice.com, that anyone can access. Registration is free, searching is free. Some Ford dealers are listed, most of the obsolete parts vendors are listed.

PartsVoice is not limited to just Ford products, just about every other automakers parts are listed.

The other site is the FORD DEALER PARTS LOCATOR SYSTEM that is only available to dealers.

I cannot pass along the info, because a local dealer is allowing me access.

If dealers didn't employ these BONEHEADED IDIOTS, and had decent help, I wouldn't have 19,050 posts in two years as a member of FTE.

Prolly 75% of my posts have part number info. Many times, the local IDIOTS just don't want to bother, so peeps come to FTE seeking part numbers, and where to find the parts.
