Why was thread closed?

I just noticed the closure of the oops thread myself,not intending it to be a jab at the moderators or questioning the system,just we had a conversation going steaming from that thread that I wanted to keep going.it was by no means a jab at the system.anyhow its interesting the scale and prices you put on the trucks in your area utf,around here a truck like yours would most likely go in the 15to20000 range at least.theres one not too far from me that looks from the pictures to be 4-7 score and the price is almost ten grand.hard to imagine getting one like I have for a few hundred dollars,thats a world I want to live in.

Thought better of it did you vinford. I wasn't going to get involved in the what's fair/not fair because I'm trying to be a good boy on FTE, but I think I can shed some light on the interpretation of the rules. I can see why northeaster's original thread was closed...because it could have been interpretted that he was putting a for sale ad in the forums without actually saying it was for sale (how do the mods know any different?). Then the "oops" thread was probably closed because it was discussing/questioning moderation tactics...and could have possibly been taken as snide rebuttle to the original closing, even though I didn't take it that way. However, I have no clue why the other thread was closed...I found it interesting on market values in different parts of the country/continent...but that's neither here nor there. As another tidbit of info...I learned the hard way that posting a classified ad, even if it's not your own (cuz how do the mods really know it's not you trying to circumvent the system) is a no-no...but if you post one as supplemental info to help a guy out or point him in the right direction it's ok.

I dont like being "scolded" .
So I pmed the mod asking him a few questions instead of asking here.
Thats why I deleted my post.

It was closed for the same reason this one is going to be, it is in violation of guidelines #9
Figuring I was dealing with adults I have gone out of my way to be courteous about explaining why I do things and get these constant questioning. So from now on, if you have an issue take it up with either
