I thought Jet did too. Makes me really wonder what that farmer had...like you say, to hit three of them and not get shot himself.

Pop, I think that would come down a trial. Trying to determine if it was premeditated or not...did the farmer know they were going to be there and plan to kill them - first degree, did he just shoot them on the spot all of a sudden with the intent to kill but not planned ahead of time - second degree, or did he just intend to harm them but not actually kill them - third degree. Determining intent...tough thing to do.
He killed two people over chickens that he didn't pay for.
No bill paying murderer.

I want to know the story. If I could just find the town it happened in I could probably learn if it was a 3 against 9 gunfight or what. You would think this would be big news somewhere.

I don't know if any other states have the "Stand You're Gound" law that florida has,but here the shooter can say he feared for his saftey and would be justified and the survivers if with Jet would be charged with murder

Someone asked what "degree" it would be...I simply tried to outline what the different "degrees" typically mean. Don't take that as anything other than in a literal sense of posted info.

I think this thread should remain positive for Jet, let's not start speculating what happened or didn't happen. The bottom line is he is gone, obviously we are all in mourning for him. He was a hell of a guy. I think starting the paypal account for the Family is the BEST thing we can do right now, all of us are still in shock over this.....imagine how his family is feeling
