I dont like light above the dash line, for night driving which I do alot of. If I need to change settings, just open the center console quick and reach in. I really never change though, its always in 80 tow.
Do you have any pics of how and where you mounted the gauges? I'd like to see them. Thanks,

Two of them on are this Auto Meter 15003 - Auto Meter Steering Column and Dash Mount Gauge Pods - JEGS and then a temp gauge, and trans gauge are flushed were the ESOF switch would be, but I have a lever so it was vacant. I also removed the vent above that, and mounted my battery system monitor. Ill work on getting some pictures, however, the adapter thing to get them into the computer seems to have died, and I havent replaced it yet. But I think theres another way, Ill look into it.

Figured it out and used the last bit of the battery, be advised its not that temp here. If the truck sits for a while, the heat soaks into the temp sender. Need to move it.

One shaky picture at night

Very nice. As much as I hate the built in "paramatric equalizer" (doesnt have enough resolution, and affects the subwoofer output aswell), it seems to have the best display as far as info goes. I use it for sirius too, and as you may know, you can tell what channel, preset, artist, song name, all without changing anything. That usb stick is 2gb, and seems to be one of the more reliable ones Ive found. It never leaves that position unless its to change music. We put one of the higher rated sony's into my bosses truck, and the display doesnt show you nearly as much as mine does instantaneously. And its hard to navigate, were as this one can change folders easily with the up and down arrow, and seek through songs with the left and right arrow. And musnt forget random. I really like it, and I imagine you would aswell. Its just so usefull!

Talking dp tuner installation

Hey,
what are the steps you took to installed your F5 switche in your ashtray?

We mounted our switches like this for stealth. If we loaned our trucks out or had them worked on, no one would know that we had tunes to "play" with. Also, we didn't want our F5's visible to announce, "hey we have modded trucks, come steal me."

zavierbr, look in the first picture and you'll see (2) small, and I mean small screws that I mounted the switch to the side of the ashtray. It's been like this for a while and I've had zero problems with it. I like the stealth look. When (if ever) I need to take it somewhere I just set it to the stock setting and close the tray, and they don't know I'm tuned.

I thought I posted my pictures in this thread already. It musta been another "DP-Tuner mount" thread.

Ah well, for posterity sake, here are my pictures...

I didn't want to slide my switch all the way into the mount, because it would be a booger-bear to try and get out, because it's such a super tight fit, and I wanted to retain the ability to easily remove the switch for theft prevention measures.

I have the JMS in-dash mount too and really like it. I'm going to get some photos tomorrow hopefully and do a "how-to" for installation of the in-dash switcher mount... stay tuned!
