i have never been under the hood of an efi but i know from serching there split and i want them manifolds the log is to quiet.
here's my qeustion how hard is the job?
still room under the hood in them?
do you have to take off the intake to get at them?
Do the bolts rust in(if so and the head strips of the bolt how do you get them off?)
It took 6 - 7 hours to get the EFI manifolds off the old engine. No stuck bolts, just a LOT of parts on an EFI.
It took me 30 minutes to swap my log manifolds for the EFI manifolds on my carb 300.
It really is not a difficult job. Just a lot of parts. You have just keep removing stuff until you get to them, and yes, you have to remove the intake to even get to them. If you don't care about the engine you're removing them from, that's even better.
Now, if you're just looking to save some time, check out ebay:
You might just get lucky and find an engine that's been picked pretty clean and those manifolds will be right out in the open. Just be sure to double check any that you pull for cracks.
ill take ur work 6cylbill i have seen all ur exhaust video's i want something other than straight pipes but i WILL NOT BE USEING FLOWMASTER everyone already has one i'll play around till it's right

I just heard someone drive my truck yesterday. It's the best sounding 300 I've ever heard. You use what you want to, man. Motorhead351 can tell you how many combinations I've tried. I've found what works, but like I said you do what you want. After all, what's experience?
If you don't want to use a Flowmaster, great. They make cheaper knock-offs. One guy I was talking to online tried a baffled muffler on his 300 with stock cats. It was the equal of the 40 series FM. It sounded really really sweet. Quiet, but deep.
I'm a fan of cheap glass packs but I think baffled mufflers sound better on 300's.
JMHO for what it's worth - which isn't much.
By the way, my truck sounds a lot better than it does inthe vids. It sounds a lot deeper now that I've ran the pipes behind my rear tire. =)
