tbm3fan, did you have an original line to begin with ??? The original configuration gives plenty of dizzy/coil access....I have seen tubing outfits that sell this line as I recall...all bent using cnc machines...and reasonable too as I recall...
As for the truck itself...your engine looks sweet....are the tins painted or powder coated ???
I had two originals and both were in the way of the vacuum advance on the distributor. So it turned out that Monument Auto sold fuel line with both ends already flared plus the fitting at different lengths. Bought a couple of 5 footers, cut one end off and started to bend. Good thing I got longer as it wasn't long before I made my first zig when I should have zagged. So cut that part off and started again. Was easier to duplicate working over the engine rather than looking at the old line. I will say making a flared end really takes some muscle effort to turn the tool down.
"Tins"? Got me there with that term. Although I can say everything was painted except the hold latch which is powder coated.
It's always good to see folks taking pride in how things look. You shouldn't have to worry about that gas line again for awhile! Way to go! That oil bath breather really makes the look happen.
