We got some snow this weekend... and of course the first night I pulled some helpless girl driving a civic out of the ditch. She was the first, and I'm sure not last of the season.
Ya know what they say, you always remember your first. Ha Ha

How bout the rest of you? Got any snow yet?
You better have gotten her number.
Or I slapz youz.
By the way, where do you attach the tow strap to a car's front end / or rear (assuming the rear bumper isn't strong enough to pull on)??? So far I've only had to pull out mud-stuck trucks.
Oh and thanks for being a cool dude by helping out people in need.

Thats the one thing I dont mess around with. I let everybody know right away, you hook it up i'll give you advise on where to attach it if you need it, and I'm not responsible for any damages, if I rip part of your car off, not my problem. There are way to many people out there that would be happy to take you to court for trying to help them out.
Besides.... I don't want to lie in the snow anyway.
The front of most vehicles have a tow hook on both sides(if not all.. I havent seen one without a tow hook actually) And the rear I usually hook up to the ?suspension mount? whatever the wheel is attached to. Or whatever looks the strongest underneath. If the vehicle is really far down into the ditch, and your pulling from a higher altitude there is a good chance of hurting a bumper. I keep two tow hooks in my truck (one light duty for cars, and a heavy duty one for trucks.) Ever since someone pulled me out of the ditch i've made it a personal thing to make sure I stop and see if everyone is o.k and if they need pulled out. Actually, I pulled my supervisor out of a creek a week ago with a Peterbilt :P

She wasn't to far down in the ditch... but I've cracked bumpers, when using a sort line, on flat ground just from sitting up so much higher than most cars. I told her it might happen and she said "It's a rental... I don't care" I just laughed and said "okay"

Your sup must be a real superstar driver of the oil patch eh!
Just be very careful and cover your butt! If any damage occurs to the stuck vehicle, you are legally responsible for it. I would at least print up some waviers/disclamers and have the driver sign it before attempting to hook anything up. It might just save your butt if they take you to court...
would be my first post i do believe......dont know how much help it was but it wasnt a question......but i have asked a TON of questions and still am......
