'85 5.0 EFI problem

The fuel pressure regulator is located on the driver's side of the engine back towards the firewall. it is a short cylinder shaped piece that has a vaccuum port on the top of it. It should have a vaccuum hose ran to a vaccuum tree or manifold. It should also have 3 hex head bolts holding it onto the fuel rail.

I'm not positive where the fuel filter is on a '85. On my '96 it is on the driver's side approx. inline with the front edge of the door on the inside of the frame rail. I would think your '85 would be the same or very close. Unless with a carb'd motor it may use and inline filter up in front of the carb. How long has since it has been changed? Also, have you fixed your original problem?

Hey CDF302v8, please see my edited post, I misread your post and originally gave you the location for the fuel filter instead of the fuel pressure regulator. Sorry, I must've had a brain fart or something.
