I have a coolent leak in my well used 87 Ranger 2.3 that i cant seem to find. I suspect its going into the engine but there is nothing in the oil. To give a bit of a backrground. I recently had the intake manifold gasket replaced by a local shop. Truck runs much better after that. I have sususpected coolent in the engine before that so i dont want to just run and accuse the shop of not doing the work right.
So my questions are what tips can you give me to try and find the leak? And if its going in the engine is there some type of test that can be done at the tailpipe to tell if the antifreeze is in there? I have seen for a long time water coming out of the the tail pipe after startup and all. Engine runs pretty well for a highmillage engine so its hard to say if its in the engine or not. Thanks Joe
