level off a 2001 4x4

Hello i have a 2001 ranger 4x4 4.0 and wondering what it takes to level the front end the same as the back,i have heard that torsin keys would.really want to get my truck leveled off thanks,kevin

You don't need the keys just to level it. Just crank the torsion bars, there's enough extra to level it. The keys will get you past level for a cheap lift, then just add blocks or leafs to the rear.

I think there's some writes if you do a search. However, I took mine to an alignment shop, they leveled the truck and realigned my front end for 60 bucks. Just grab your phonebook and call around to tire and alignment shops to see who will do it and the best price.

Thanks this may be a stupid question but i am going to ask it anyway,you turn it clockwiseto raise it up right.and there are 2 of them right.thanks kevin

Your still going to have to get the the frontend alligned after you crank the bars, don't forget.

Thats why I just let the tire shop crank them for me, so they could go a head and reallign it when they were done.

I called around and found some shops that were willing. Some didn't even no what I was talking about. Shops that deal alot with 4x4 trucks jump right on it. Dodge, chevy also have torsion bar suspension, it's not just a ford thing. Shops that install lift kits will know exactlly what you want and what you need. The phone boofk will be your friend.
